Senior Year

It's my last year as an undergraduate! It's pretty gnarly. I don't know what exactly I am going to do after, but I guess that's the fun part of life-you never know what's going to happen. Today is my second day of classes and let me tell ya... they are going to kick my butt for sure. I will survive though. The library will be my friend for sure. I had to drop a class and it made me sad. But I found a class that will be just as interesting. My schedule includes American Writers, Anthropology of Sex and Gender, Utah Archaeology, Period Studies in American Literature, and Studies in the American West. Sounds fun right?! It will be a lot of reading, writing, discussion, and trying not to fall asleep. It should be a fun semester.

SARA JAN

This post is dedicated to my cousin Sara! Woot! Here are some reasons why Sara is so rad...

• We are the same age (well technically I am six months older, but people born in 1988 are the coolest! The eighties are pretty rad.)
• She is going on a mission to New York, New York South Spanish speaking! ¡Que divertido!
  
• We made an ice cream cake for her birthday one year. It didn't turn out how we wanted it to, but it was still a fun memory.

• We lived together in Aunt Sue's home after our first year of college and it was probably one of my favorite summers I have ever enjoyed.
• She loves sports. Tony was nice and gave me a baseball from Safeco Field in Seattle to give to Sara.
  
• She and I went to many Hyrum Hornet games during one summer and she was the best cheerer ever! Oh and she would go chase the foul balls with the little kids so she could get a piece of candy. (this photo is not of the Hyrum field, but it's a baseball diamond!)
  

• She is taller than me (wait... most everyone is taller than me!)
• "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard" makes her happy, just like it makes me happy.
  
• She worked at the D.I.
• One summer she, Jacque, and Jamie came up to University Place and we had lots of fun. The alarm scared us to death... Read this.
• She introduced me to Japanese Soccer and laughs at The Mysterious Ticking Noise

• Transformers, The Hulk, BATMAN, Wolverine, X-Men... do you see a pattern?
• She loves the Disney channel and we learned the "We're All in this Together" dance. Pretty fun.
• I think she should become a professional cotton candy spinner.
• She dances very well.
• We take crazy pictures on Macs.
• She's PARANOID! hahahaha!
• She screams LOUD when we are on the molecule. I have the video to prove it!
  
• So You Think You Can Dance. 'Nuff said.

Sara is AMAZING! These are only a few memories/things about Sara. The list could go on and on. Anyway, I am grateful to have Sara as a cousin. She is such an example and I love learning from her. I hope everyone enjoyed this list! She leaves for the MTC next Wednesday! So crazy! Love you Sara!!! Good luck. You will be a fantastic missionary!!!

Connections

The freshmen are here! The freshmen are here!

Connections is starting and campus is actually busy. It's weird going from having nobody on campus to having LOTS of people. I am getting ready for my senior year of college-yes I wrote senior year. Three years ago this month, I was a little ol' freshman. It's kind of strange to think about how much I've changed since the beginning of my college career. Now I'm a little ol' senior. Anyway, I have lots of do before school starts... buying books, moving into the new apartment, working, drifting, family stuff, and cleaning. But I would much rather be busy than not. Inhale. Exhale. I can do this!

Dance...

My family and I attempted to pull this type of dance off at Leslie and Tyler's reception. I don't know if we did or not... I was dancing. DUH. I will have to get the video from someone and put it on the blog. Anyway, enjoy! And it kinda bugs me the video doesn't fit, but oh well.

We Are Family!

Leslie and Tyler finally got married on Saturday! I am so glad to have Tyler part of the family (he pretty much already was, but now he's officially part of the awesome Brown clan) and he treats Leslie like a queen. Leslie thought I drugged her the night before because she was extremely calm and collected on Saturday. I tell ya, the Holy Ghost is amazing and prayers work! I got to watch Parley Boy while the ceremony took place. He is a stud muffin and I just love him! Anyway, I wish I would have taken pictures, but alas, I did not. Even though it was rainy in the morning and cold at night, the wedding turned out beautiful! All the work paid off and it went very well. Family is great and will do most anything you ask them. I am so grateful for my family and everything they do for me. Most people don't understand how much my family means to me. I am a family gal through and through. Oh, and now I am the last single girl in my immediate family. Kind of weird. I am looking forward to the day when I can go through the temple and receive the blessings that my parents and sisters (and brother-in-laws) have. Les and Ty-love you both! I'm a Mac...

Hello blog readers! This is my first post on my new MACBOOK! Yes, I gave in and finally purchased a Mac! So far, I love it. Now I have to re-educate myself on how to use one, but it will be fun and then I get to teach Aunt Sue! WAHOO! I even got a sweet apple sticker. I've always wanted one of those. Oh and on top of my sweet deal, I got a FREE HP printer and a Classic iPod for $20 (with the mail-in rebate) WOOT!

Anyway, I have been super busy with helping plan the wedding (which turned out FABULOUS if you ask me) and spending every possible moment with my family. I am way behind on blogging, I have quite a few posts started, but not finished... so don't fret my blog reader friends, you will hear more from me, I can guarantee that. Oh yeah, and I am in the midst of the calendar project at work, which means I am super busy at work and by the time I get home I just want to crash.
